Dramatic, larger than life, almost surreal; are words that closely describe producer Rajan Shahi’s shoes. From Sapna Babul Ka … Bidaai, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, Amrit Manthan, Woh Toh Hai Albelaa, and the longest running; Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, Rajan’s productions have always stood apart. His show Anupamaa transformed the way women think and his brand new show and Batein Kuch Ankahi Si is also making statements everyday!

1. Rajan’s the best: When we say best, we don’t only mean Rajan’s shows, but his personality as well! Despite his grandfather, the late P Jairaj, being an acclaimed actor, filmmaker, and Dadasaheb Phalke awardee, Shahi has carved his own way to success. His direction, production, scriptwork, are absolutely outstanding.

2. Active production: Rajan is not someone who believes in staying away from the set. In fact, Rajan actively gets involved in the shoot, interacting with actors, taking part in the story telling process; he does it all! 

3. Trendsetter: When it comes to Rajan’s work, nothing is the same. He comes up brand new concepts and ideas with each and every show. His show Anupamaa showed a middle aged woman fighting her battles and emerging victorious! 

4. Family man: Not only is Rajan close to his family in real life, even in his shows, family values are always emphasised. In reality, he is very close to his mother, Deepa Shahi (co-producer of "Anupamaa"), and his daughter, Ishika Shahi (co-producer of "Anupama: Namaste America" and a student pursuing higher education in Sydney). 

5. Team work: For Rajan, his team is the most important to him. There are not many producers who credit their teams for their success, and Rajan is one of them!
